Full-Day Kindergarten

Full Day Kindergarten       Full Day Kindergarten       Full Day Kindergarten

Our full-day Kindergarten program is designed to meet the individual learning needs of the child and to help them grow emotionally, socially and intellectually.

Our curriculum is spiral in construction, with skills introduced, reinforced, and reviewed throughout the year. The development of the child’s literacy skills form the core of the program, with letter recognition, phonics and beginning reading and writing skills integrated into the child’s day. In the implementation of the program, the teacher plans a daily balance between teacher-directed and student-directed activities. Children of this age learn best by doing. Therefore, the daily activities incorporate many hands-on experiences for the children.

Some of the areas of concentration which are incorporated into the daily curriculum are: Reading, writing and language arts, math, social studies, science, handwriting readiness, foreign language, music and computer lab time.

Kindergarten is an important year of learning and growth for the child. It is the year that bridges the preschool’s learning through play approach with the formal learning environment of first grade.

Our goal is to help the child build this bridge of behaviors, learning strategies and skills so that he or she will become a confident student who loves to learn.
